[1] Official senate election results next week
(BangkokPost.com) - If all goes according to plan and the Election Commission (EC) receives no complaints of irregularities, the results of the senate election should be ready to be endorsed on March 9, a week after the vote, according to an EC public relations officer.
Ruengroj Jomsueb said voter turnout nationwide was 56 per cent on Sunday's senate election.
"The ballot counting process has been very speedy. So far, 3.63 per cent of the ballots are invalid which we're pleased with. The voter turnout was slightly lower than we had predicted," he said.

[2] Commerce minister back at work
(BangkokPost.com) – Deputy Prime Minister and Commerce Minister Mingkwan Sangsuwan is already back at work after collapsing while delivering a speech at the Post Forum 2008 last week.
He assured reporters that he has made a full recovery from the collapse which surprised many of his supporters.
“I am ready to work now and am feeling one hundred per cent healthy again,” he said.
He’s keen to get started on implementing measures to control prices of commodities. He will also hold talks with Finance Minister Surapong Suebwonglee about the Bank of Thailand’s decision to lift the 30 per cent capital control reserve rule and how that will affect the Commerce Ministry.
